Take a half day at work and skip out early—we recommend that you aim to arrive in Corning by 5–6 PM to kick off your weekend right! Once you arrive and drop off your bags, it's officially time to start this vacay! Depending on where you’re staying, Market Street might be within walking distance. If not, don’t worry! Market Street has free two-hour parking on the street, and parking in nearby lots. Lot parking is free on weekends, and on weekdays, it's free after 5 PM.
Head to Market Street and start your weekend with a delicious dinner. Try Nickel’s Pit BBQ, a local favorite known for smoked brisket, pulled pork, and chicken wings. They even have their own spin on a Cuban sandwich. Yum! Oh, and get the tater tots as your side, you'll thank us later. After your hearty meal, head back to your accommodation and rest up!

Start your day at the world-renowned Corning Museum of Glass, where you’ll explore the fascinating history of glass, learn how it’s made, and see stunning glass art spanning over 35 centuries. Watch live glassblowing and flameworking demonstrations that are as educational as they are mesmerizing.

Afterward, stop by the CMoG Café for lunch. Choose from a variety of options including ramen, pasta, sandwiches, salads, and classic burgers and fries.

Now that you’re fueled up, head across the street to The Studio. The Studio is part of the CMoG campus, and it's home to artists-in-residence, local glass artists, and it's where you can make your own piece of glass art!
Make objects such as vases, pendants, suncatchers, and more! Glass pieces are ready for pickup the next day after 12 PM, or you can opt to have yours shipped home.

After your glass adventure, take a break, then make your way back to Market Street for a relaxing evening. For dinner, check out Three Birds Restaurant, a farm-to-fresh spot serving up elevated comfort food like Pan-Seared Rainbow Trout and Beef Tips with Pierogies.
P.S. They have axe throwing upstairs, so if you're up for it, wrap up dinner with a little friendly competition.

Then, it’s time to use that combo ticket and head to The Rockwell Museum, a Smithsonian Affiliate located in the Gaffer District.
